Mid-Day Meals for School Children with Akshay Patra Foundation

Under collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation, Mid-Day Meals are being provided to 7000+ children studying in government schools in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. IEX has been associated with Akshaya Patra Foundation since 2016, where 5000+ students were receiving hot and nutritious meal on a daily basis.

Construction Support to Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society School in Faridabad, Haryana

IEX is supporting Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society (SSBTS) to construct two classrooms and associated corridor at Shirdi Sai Baba School, Faridabad. Presently, the School has enrolment of 1000 children and CBSE affiliation upto X grade. It imparts education and vocational skills to under-privileged children of Faridabad, Haryana at free of cost. Going forward, the school aspires to expand, enroll more students and secure CBSE affiliation for providing education upto 12th grade, and is thus building a new wing with several new class-rooms, laboratories and training centers.

Mobile Health Unit with HelpAge India in Muzzafarpur District

Under collaboration with HelpAge India, a Mobile Healthcare Unit (MHU) has been providing health benefits to the elderly, and community in villages of Muzzafarpur district near Kanti Thermal Power Plant in Bihar. The MHU has been able to provide healthcare benefits almost 5,000 people in 25+ villages in the districts. IEX has been in association with HelpAge India since 2016, when an MHU was running in flood affected districts of Darbhanga and Madhubani in Bihar. The MHU provided healthcare benefits to almost 10,000+ people in 30 villages in the two districts.

Solar Technician Skill Center with ISAP in Samstipur

Under collaboration with Indian Society of Agri-Business Professionals (ISAP) in 2016, a Skill Centre had been set up in Samastipur, Bihar to impart Solar Technician Training to 175 unemployed rural youth of Bihar who are atleast 8th class pass. Besides training, the programme also entailed field visits, workshops, preparation for competitive exams and providing placement.

Smart Class, Smart Shala in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh with Sampark Foundation

With Sampark Foundation, IEX implemented Sampark Smart Class Program to skill children of 170 Government Schools in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh in English and Numerics. The program trained teachers in English and Maths using several new learning techniques and a new unique pedagogy packaged as ‘Sampark Didi’. The trained teachers are now imparting training to the school.

Mobile Health Unit with HelpAge India in Satna District, Madhya Pradesh

IEX and HelpAge India have also started MHU services in Ram Nagar block in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, which is a completely rural block with no urban settlements. The MHU will reach out to elderly and community in large in 42 villages of the block.

Holistic Development of Students of 35 Children of Shishuvihar Madhyamik Shala with Each One Teach One in Dadar

In association with Each One Teach One (EOTO) holistic development of 35 urban under-privileged children of Shishuvihar Madhyamik Shala, Dadar has been under taken through English and Computer Coaching. Apart from coaching, EOTO will conduct meets with successful personalities and organize career counseling sessions as well as a summer camp. The 35 students from 9th Std. who received support from IEX in 2016-17 have now progressed to class 10th. The students apart from learning will also receive one nutritious meal every day.

Support to Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana for Sujalam Suphalam Buldhana program in Buldhana District in Maharashtra

IEX has been supporting Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana for “Drought Free Maharashtra in Buldhana District of Maharashtra” through Watershed Management in all 13 blocks of the district in Maharashtra. The program is being implemented in collaboration with key partner Tata Trusts. IEX would provide support for aspects such as: Machine Maintenance, Repair & lubricants for the Machines; Project Studies- process and impact; Staff and Volunteer Training etc.

Ekal Vidyalayas for Tribal Children with Friends of Tribal Society in Rourkela, Odisha

With an aim to educate tribal children, IEX in association with Friends of Tribal Society has established 100 Ekal Vidyalayas in Rourkela, Odisha. IEX-FTS Ekal Schools will provide moral and functional education to tribal children who have no access to formal education system.

Life Skills Support with Association for the Mentally Challenged in Bangalore

Under collaboration with Akruti School of Association of the Mentally Challenged in Bangalore, Karnataka daily living skills are being provided to 50+ mentally challenged children and adolescents to help them increase their level of self-sufficiency and develop their capacities. Akruti School designs and develops a curriculum tailored for individual needs and trained professionals help students achieve self-sufficiency. IEX has already been associated with Association for the Mentally Challenged and is running the programme since 2017.

Infrastructure Development Support for a New Isha Vidhya Rural School in Sengal Village, Karur District, Tamil Nadu

Under collaboration with Isha Vidhya, IEX is supporting construction of 5 new classrooms and 1 sanitation block for girls in a new Ishya Vidya Rural School under construction in Karur District, Tamil Nadu. The school will help rural children get a good education and facilitate the engagement with more government schools in the district

Lighting School, Lighting Lives for Isha Rural Schools with Isha Vidhya in Tamil Nadu

Under collaboration with Isha Vidhya Foundation, 9kW Solar PV Systems were deployed in four Isha Vidhya Rural Schools in Tamil Nadu (Nagercoil, Tuticorin, Cuddalore and Villupuram). The solar energy helps the schools meet their electricity requirements and the money saved on electricity bills is being used by the schools to provide scholarships to students in need. Since September 2017 till March 2018, a total of Rs. 3.95 Lacs were saved by the 4 Isha Vidhya Rural Schools. The saving supported 10 students in the form of scholarships.

School Bus for Isha Vidhya Rural School in Erode

To facilitate rural children in commuting to and from the School, IEX sponsored a school bus for Isha Vidhya Rural School in Erode, Tamil Nadu in 2015, which provides education to children from rural communities. The children are greatly benefited since otherwise they have to walk long distances to reach the School.
